AddictionTreatmentCenters.com today announced the launch of its redesigned national directory, giving people seeking help for addiction a single, independent place to find and compare licensed treatment facilities near them. The rebuilt site lists 12,396 facilities across 4,185 cities in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, drawn from federal and state public records and refreshed every week.
Unlike many treatment-finder sites, AddictionTreatmentCenters.com is a directory, not a referral service. Every licensed facility in the public record has a page, whether or not it pays; calls go straight to the facility, and the site never operates a helpline, routes calls, or sells anyone’s information.

What’s new in the redesign
The new site was built around one task: helping a person or family member find the right kind of care, close to home, fast. Highlights include:
• Search by city, state, or zip code. A single search box on every page returns nearby licensed facilities, with a dedicated page for each of the 51 states and districts and each of the 4,185 cities covered.
• Side-by-side comparison of what each facility offers. Listings show what the facility itself reported to regulators: levels of care, treatment settings, medications used, populations served, and forms of payment and insurance accepted.
• Plain-language guides to every level of care. A new Types of Care section explains medical detox, inpatient and residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), standard outpatient, opioid treatment programs, and intervention — so visitors understand their options before they call.
• Weekly data refresh from public records. Listings are rebuilt from federal and state licensing records every week to keep programs, locations, and contact details current.
• Direct contact, no middleman. Facility phone numbers and websites connect visitors directly to the provider. The site never routes calls through a call center.
• Free claimed listings for facilities. Any licensed facility can claim its page at no cost to display its phone number, add a description and hours, and correct outdated details.
• Transparent, flat-fee sponsorship. Facilities may optionally purchase a featured placement at a published flat monthly rate that is the same for every facility. Sponsored listings are always labeled, and the site never charges per call, per lead, or per admission.
• Fast, mobile-first design. The site is rebuilt on a modern web framework, loads quickly on any device, and requires no account or sign-up to use.
“When someone finally decides to look for help, the last thing they need is a maze of lead-generation sites that route their call to the highest bidder,” said Nick, Marketing at AddictionTreatmentCenters.com. “We built this directory to do the opposite: show every licensed facility, show what it actually offers, and get out of the way so people can call the provider directly.”
“Families told us they wanted two things — to understand the difference between detox, residential, PHP, and IOP, and to know who takes their insurance,” Nick added. “The redesign puts both of those answers on the first screen, in plain English, for every city in the country.”
Why it matters
The gap between people who need addiction treatment and people who get it remains wide. According to the 2025 National Survey on Drug Use and Health from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), an estimated 47.2 million Americans aged 12 or older needed substance use treatment in 2025, and only about one in six — 7.6 million people — received any. Among adults with a substance use disorder who did not get treatment, 40.5 percent said they did not know how or where to find it, and 30.4 percent cited insufficient insurance coverage (Addiction Policy Forum summary).
AddictionTreatmentCenters.com addresses those two barriers directly: it shows every licensed facility in a given area, and it shows what each one accepts for payment, before the first phone call. Because listings follow the public licensing record rather than advertising budgets, a small county outpatient program appears alongside a national residential provider on equal footing.
The site is also built to earn trust in a category where many online “treatment finders” are owned by providers or paid per referred patient. AddictionTreatmentCenters.com is not a treatment provider, does not operate a helpline, does not route or record calls, and labels every paid placement as Sponsored.

The redesigned directory is live now at addictiontreatmentcenters.com. It is free to use and requires no account. Facilities can claim or feature their listing at addictiontreatmentcenters.com/for-facilities.
