Mr. Biniazan has seen that, sadly, both the prevalence and severity of doctor sexual abuse is rising in the state, with a longitudinal study from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution finding more than 2,400 cases of doctors sexually abusing patients across all 50 states in the last 20 years. As the report summarized, “Patients reported fondling, exposure, masturbation, and rape, among other offenses, and the list of victims included children, abuse survivors, and women assaulted while under anesthesia.”
